 From the days of Ancient Greeks, men have trained horses to be equal
partners on the battlefield of war. Through countless battles,
horses have risked their lives as fearlessly as men. Now, in the
twenty-first century, Mounted Fury re-enacts the passion and courage
of the Medieval Knight before a live audience.
The Mounted Fury is comprised
of ladies who ride and train at Cedar Springs Equestrian Center in
Farmington, AR. We are largely self-taught in games
and jousting and each Knight has trained her own mount as well as
designing and producing most of the costuming and weapons that she
uses.
From our beginnings in 2004, we have evolved into
a theatrical combat group who perform at a variety of events each
year including the U of A Horse Festival, the NW Arkansas
Renaissance Faire and many school demos and fundraisers. Currently
in addition to games, jousting and combat training, we are in the
process of training our horses to perform stunts used on the
battlefield during medieval times. Our performances will showcase
one of the most valuable weapons wielded by a knight--the Horse. |
